Soil
Oregano does well in lighter, well-drained soil. It does not need organic manure and fertilizers.
Water
Do not overwater oregano. Water only when the soil has dried out fully.

When your oregano plant grows 4 inches tall, pinch off the growing tips. Pruning your plant helps promote new branches and makes the plant bushier.
Harvesting
The most aromatic and flavourful leaves are found immediately before the plant flowers. You can begin harvesting when it grows around eight inches tall. Cut the stem up to 2/3rd of its length.
