Potpourri

Potpourris are a great way to upcycle dry flower petals and enjoy their beautiful scent for longer. You can combine your favourite flower petals with some essential oils. To add some colour to your potpourris you can use different flowers or different varieties of the same flower. Here’s a quick rose petal potpourri recipe:

Take dry rose petals. You can use different varieties (red, pink, yellow, orange) to make it look colourful. Put them in an air-tight glass jar. Add some dry lavender petals and lavender and rose essential oils. Close and shake the jar to mix everything. Leave the jar closed for two days. Open after two days to enjoy its flavorful aroma. You can add cinnamon, bay leaves, vanilla beans and star anise as per your taste.
